User Data Deletion Instructions

If you have messaged JSmile Dental Clinic through Facebook Messenger, you may request deletion of the information associated with that interaction.

You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect the care you receive from us.

Contact us through any of our official channels and tell us you are requesting data deletion.

1. 1 Message us on Facebook Messenger, call us on 0993 855 7932, or visit the clinic in person.
2. 2 Say clearly that you are making a data deletion request.
3. 3 Include enough detail for us to find your records — see the next section.
4. 4 We will confirm that we have received your request.

So that we can locate the right records, please identify the Messenger or Facebook account, or the conversation, that your request relates to. Helpful details include:

• check_circle The Facebook or Messenger account name used to message us
• check_circle The approximate date of the conversation
• check_circle Any name or contact number you gave us during the conversation

Please do not send more personal information than is needed to identify your records.

Where necessary, we will verify that the request genuinely comes from the person the records relate to. This protects you: without it, someone else could ask us to delete or disclose your information.

Verification is usually as simple as replying from the same Messenger account that sent the original messages.

Once your request is verified, the applicable stored personal information will be deleted or anonymized.

Some information may need to be retained where we are required or permitted to keep it — for example for legal, security, accounting, healthcare, dispute-related or other legitimate obligations. Where that applies, we keep only what is necessary for that purpose and delete or anonymize the rest.

We handle deletion requests as promptly as we reasonably can. We have deliberately not stated a fixed number of days here, because we would rather not publish a deadline the clinic has not formally adopted as policy.
